Homage to Way of the Clans

When I was in elementary school I lived on a boat and there was a hole-in-the-wall bookstore by the wharf. I found a copy of "Way of the Clans" and the picture of a man hiding in the foreground to ambush a huge walking robot instantly captured my imagination. I had no idea that the book was part of a larger universe with tabletop games, miniatures, books and more, but I read it more than 10 times. It was my introduction to the Battletech universe and I wanted to do an homage with this piece for Catalyst Game Labs' "Ilkhan's Eyes Only" Thanks to Marc Mazzoni and Brent Evan's for giving me the freedom to have a lot of fun with these pieces : ) Working on an IP that I've been a fan of since elementary school always feels surreal.
